Raise your glass this Oktoberfest!

Not ready to catch a flight to Germany just yet? You can still soak up the rousing festivities of Oktoberfest right here in Singapore. Despite the lack of table dancing, you can still party without giving a schnitzel – safely, of course.

  1. Brotzeit

Leave it to Brotzeit to throw a smashing Oktoberfest, even during times like these. The Oktoberfestplatter at $138 sees a wooden platter generously laden with its popular oven-roasted pork knuckle, honey-glazed ribs, Nürnberger Stadtwurst, Thüringer sausage, potato salad, and sauerkraut.

Raise a toast with German wheat beer Erdinger. Imbibe, Bavarian style, with an epic platter created in collaboration with Brotzeit. You can also order in a DIY kit at $75.80 complete with bottles of beer, themed shirts, buntings to help spruce up the space, and a $20 Brotzeit cash voucher.

  1. Paulaner Brauhaus

If you wanted a real German experience, Paulaner Brauhaus is a good place to start with its specially-curated menus, Singapore’s only German Microbrewery & Restaurant. The Oktoberfestpfandl platter, for example, offers a hearty mix of Germany’s best, including roasted duck, chicken schnitzel, and of course, crispy pork knuckle and Nürnberger bratwurst sausage.

This sharing platter pairs beautifully with the house-made brews on tap there. The free-flow promotion (S$45++ per person) during Oktoberfest includes both its classic and seasonal beers, so be sure to come hungry — and thirsty — when you visit from now till 24 October 2021.

  1. Frieda

Keep the beer and the celebrations flowing. At Frieda, you will get you a cold pint at $55, along with endless supply of tasty treats for two hours. Load up on Bavarian sausage salad, pork knuckle, Weisswurst with pretzel, baked camembert, and more. You can’t go wrong with the crispy Pork Knuckle, succulent Veal Schnitzel or the deliciously savoury Pretzel Dumplings. It’s all so sinfully decadent, and even though you know you shouldn’t, you will be glad you did.

Feeling thirsty? Then opt for its two-hour-long beer promotion where you can quaff down free-flowing pints for just $38, or grab a U-Boot Beer cocktail for only $12 that comes spiked with a shot of Jagermeister.

Cheers!
