Discussing one’s mortality is an extremely uncomfortable topic in many families. No one likes to think about death, let alone plan for it. Birth and Death are a natural cycle. Fortunate are those who have prepared for the afterlife in advance.
We tend to get emotional during the passing away of a loved one, having a pre-planning in place helps to lessen the misunderstanding, burden, and stress. A pre-planning enables the individual or next of kin to have time for proper funeral planning and decision-making. This is very helpful as it relieves your family of having to make important financial decisions during a period of great stress and grief – a time when people aren’t thinking very clearly and may not know what to do because you never made your wishes known.
The Cost of Funeral Services in Singapore
-by BestinSingapore.co
The overall expenses for a funeral service in Singapore mainly depend on its length and the religion of the deceased. As expected, the longer the funeral service is, the higher the overall cost will be. Based on our research, the thing about funeral services in Singapore is that they can either be extremely cheap or ridiculously expensive. You have just to find the right funeral home with reasonable prices.
Generally, a funeral service already comes with a room, an appropriate set of decorations, casket, chairs and tables, lighting, fans, and flowers. Expect to pay around $4,000 to $7,500 for an entire funeral service.
We found that religious funerals may cost more because of the ceremonial items and personnel needed to facilitate the ritual. For example, the cost of a two-day Taoist funeral may shoot all the way up to $8,300 because of the added decorations.
On the other hand, non-religious funerals are cheaper, commonly costing around $3,000 to $4,000 for obvious reasons.
Keep in mind that these are the average prices of funeral services where a funeral director is involved.
